Campaign Story

Chasing dreams with every step — help me study sports journalism and run toward a brighter future. 📝🏃‍♂️

At 19 years old, I have a dream: to study journalism and communications at a university in the United States. I want to use my voice to tell stories that matter, uplift communities, and build a future rooted in purpose and truth.

I’ve already applied to the University of Miami and several other U.S. schools. However, most international applications require non-refundable deposits, which can be difficult to afford along with visa and travel costs.

Still, I’m pushing forward. I’ve started studying journalism on my own using U.S. university syllabi I obtained through ChatGPT. I’ve collected PDFs, explored local resources here in Nigeria, and recently discovered topics like casino journalism—a field I didn’t even know existed. I’m also currently participating in a Sahara Energy competition, which is helping me stay sharp and engaged as I work toward this goal.

I know this path won’t be easy, but I believe that with a chance—any opportunity at a D1 or D2 school—I can prove myself.

To protect my peace and mental health, especially in today’s digital world, I’ve chosen not to share my photo. This is a personal decision to avoid cyberbullying, and I truly hope that’s understood.

More than anything, I’m just asking for a shot. If you’re able to support financially or simply share this page, I would be deeply grateful. Thank you for reading, and for believing in what’s possible—even for someone you may never meet.
